BioCubaFarma, Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) and Kalam Institute of Health Technology (KIHT) have signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) to focus on exchange of technologies, products,  innovations, transfer of technologies and commercialization of innovative healthcare products of interest to both the countries.

BioCubaFarma is the Cuban organization of biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries which manages the country’s efforts towards manufacturing medicines, diagnostics and medical equipment.

With this collaboration, KIHT has made its mark again in international collaboration related to healthcare technologies by being part of the Indian delegation which visited Cuba during June 21 to 23, 2018.

Delegation also comprised of industry experts who demonstrated India’s strength in medical technology from developing efficacious vaccines, to indigenously manufactured kidney dialysis machine with remote monitoring.
